Hello fellow friends that Love Sara and her family.
As many of you know Sara has leukemia and she is now not responding to her medication, they have changed her meds in order to prepare her for a bone marrow transplant. All her siblings have been tested and we are waiting for the results. We should have the results by next Monday to determine which sibling will be a match. When the meds bring her white blood cell count down they will proceed with the transplant. Which could be in 4-6 weeks. Sara will be staying in Fort Worth and traveling to Dallas for treatment. As treatment progresses I will be asking for help when needed. This blog site exists to give specific prayer needs and to exchange info so that Sara and her family don't get inundated with calls, hopefully, every one will respect that. Sara needs her time to concentrate on her healing. The next year is going to be a rough one but God will see Sara and her family through it. Please join us in lifting up Sara and her family in prayer daily. If you would like to send cards or letters to Sara please e-mail me and I will get you her address, or if you have any questions please call me or e-mail me. sherriaaron3@yahoo.com
Blessings,

Sherri- whatever I can do personally or on behalf of Park Hill, please don't hesitate to ask! Our church family is praying individually, as well as in our weekly "prayer class" on Wednesday nights, for her complete healing!
ReplyDeletePlease let me know if there is anything Ryan and I can do to help. I would love to bring dinner/clean/ run errands ANY time. Thank you for keeping us updated. ~regan
ReplyDeleteI had NO idea...Becca and I will be lifting Sara and the rest of the Dubose clan up in prayer from 2,000 miles away. The longer I work in medicine the more I realize that God really is the great Physician and we can only hope to be his humble agents. Keep us updated.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad that technology can keep us connected even though we are far apart. Heidi and I will be praying for God to heal Sara's body. We will look for updates.

Sara,
ReplyDeleteMy family and I are keeping you in our prayers and our hearts are full of love for you and your precious family. Sherri, thanks for giving us this outlet for keeping up with the news. I don't know if you remember that E.D. was a bone marrow donor in 1991. If your sisters have any questions about going through the donor process, feel free to send them our way. Love you much!
Sara,

Sara,
ReplyDeleteYou are such a bold, courageous woman of faith and I believe in your ability to fight this battle....the big "C" can't win over the bigger "C" we have in Christ. My thoughts and prayers are with you each day...Cindy
I know that God has you right where He wants you Sara...if not to proclaim His grace but to plant His seeds. Although, the battle before you is big, God is bigger and He provides us the tools, whether it be people, prayer, perservence, to meet this head on! I know your obedience to Him throughout your life will be no different now. You will continue to be his servant and He will continue to bless you through this and healing will be the bonus. You and your family have been more than a blessing to ours and please know that the Irby family will pray and fast for God's answer of healing and peace in your life.
